Hi, I’m Matt — a second-year Creative Writing major at Florida State University, currently applying to gain entrance into the limited-access Digital Media Production program. Storytelling has always been at the center of how I see the world, and visual media has become the most powerful way for me to bring those stories to life.

I most recently served as Video Production Director at FSU’s Askew Student Life Center, a paid leadership role where I led multimedia production for high-profile campus events. In this position, I oversaw creative planning, directed shoots, collaborated with student crews, and handled post-production for trailers, event recaps, promotional videos, and original short-form content. My work has supported advanced screenings, live Q&A events, and student programming—helping increase visibility, attendance, and engagement.

In addition to my leadership role, I’ve gained professional experience as a Video Production Intern at Aqueous Films, where I worked on commercial productions capturing behind-the-scenes footage, assisting as a B-camera operator, and editing short-form social media content for clients. I’ve also contributed extensively to student film productions at FSU as a lead cinematographer, assistant camera operator, director, and editor, giving me hands-on experience across every stage of production.

Whether producing video or photography, I approach each project with a filmmaker’s eye and a storyteller’s mindset. From concept to final delivery, my focus is on crafting visuals that don’t just look good but also communicate emotion, mood, and meaning. Every frame is intentional, designed to feel cinematic, authentic, and grounded in the story being told.
